Overview:

Designed to manage a single door with one reader, the Ubiquiti UniFi Access G2 Starter Kit is a simple all-in-one kit for UniFi Access, allowing users to establish secure and modern access control. It comes with UniFi Access Hub, a UniFi G2 Reader, and ten access cards to allow users to deploy access, authentication, and security systems to protect their facility or building.

1. Centralized Management:

It is provided with a UniFi Access Hub that features centralized management for easy monitoring and configuration. You can establish an access control without any need for multiple management systems.

2. Power Over Ethernet Support:

Both UniFi Access Hub and UniFi G2 Reader support the Power Over Ethernet or PoE power method, allowing you to provide both data and power through one cable. 

UniFi Access Hub is provided with a PoE++ interface, or alternatively, you can use a 50V DC, 1A power adapter. For optimum performance, Cat5e cable is the minimum requirement for the Access Door Hub. UniFi G2 supports the PoE power method, demanding Cat 5e cable to ensure optimum performance.

3. Comprehensive Access Control & Authentication:

UniFi Door Hub supports multiple input terminals such as (2) door exit request, (1) door position, and (1) emergency. It comes with a 30V DC, 1A lock, and 30V DC, 1A Aux dry output relay. Furthermore, it comes with support for 12V DC, 1A lock, and 12V DC, 0.33A powered output relay. It also supports various digital inputs such as request to exit, request to enter, remote release, and door position sensors. 

UniFi Reader G2 reader is provided with various control and authentication features such as NFC Card & Keyfob Access, Mobile Unlock, and Handwave Request to Exit.

4. Real-Time Monitoring & Reporting:

Both UniFi Access Hub and UniFi Reader G2 are equipped with LEDs for real-time monitoring. UniFi Reader is equipped with a proximity sensor, 8 ohms, and a 0.7W speaker to indicate the exit and entry of the individuals.

PoE Cabling Requirements:

Cat 5e cabling is the recommended minimum performance category. The performance category utilized should match the transmission speed required at the installation site. The minimal conductor gauge permitted to connect between the PSE or power injector and the PD shall be 26 AWG (0.13 mm² ) for patch cords and 24 AWG (0.21 mm² ) for horizontal or riser cable.
